Taking the plunge.

An afternoon working from home.
New dress from Warehouse and the LK Bennet heels. Made up, sheer tights and my hair on.
So First all I did was get a bottle of drink and some sweets from the corner shop. The lady just smiled and called me miss.
So far so good.
Dress: Warehouse, Belt: LK Bennett, Tights: Levante Resistanze 5 Denier.

Right...needed some milk from Sainsburys so went to the superstore same dress, but this time my new ASOS floral heels. 5'' of pain!
Walking across the car park a woman smoking did a double take at the shoes...and again. I asked her for a light...
'Of course honey, but where are those shoes from?'
Shoes: ASOS, Tights, Levanrte, as before
ASOS I replied
And your a feller! I hadn't realised! Wow you look amazing! You look completely natural! Have you been doing this long? I mean to drive and walk in those!'

Gave the 5 minute version.
I think it's amazing you have the courage, but you have an amazing figure and stunning legs and cool taste in heels.'

Her friend turned up and the same reaction.

And so in. They have a huge ladies department for cheap basics. Mooched merrily for 20 or so minutes. No one gave me a second glance. Few more gawps and smiles at the shoes.

So, dress, sheer top, skirt sand maxi dress in hand - to the changing rooms.

Lovely lady smiled genuinely at me and said:
'I Love your shoes! They are incredible!'
'Thank you!'
Showed me to a room and offered help with zips.

Decided the tropical flared dress was a keeper, and left the rest.

Handed them in. lady smiled and said:
'You look fab by the way. Well done. I thought you were a girl until we spoke up close. Well done you!'
'Aww thank you!' Very sweet of you to say..and you are not having my heels!'

So, new knickers, bra, replacement tights, ballet pumps and a little red patent purse later...

Walked out feeling a million dollars.

I can do it, and walk around, be out there and no one either knows or cares.
I even saw a woman I know well from my old running club there in the clothes section.
Not a glimmer of recognition.

This is addictive. All I want to do is keep doing it. But that's always the way. If it was all the time it would be a chore.

Shoes: LK Bennett. Tights: Levante Resistanze 5 Denier.

As if. At least its too hot for feeding what has become a new-pair-every-day tights habit!
Ballerinas: Tu at Sainsbury. Tights as before.
